Debbie continues on the board this year and is responsible for encouraging professional certification and recertification of chapter members to promote professional development, improve performance and enhance qualifications for advancement in the Human Resources field. She provides chapter members with advice and information on how to attain or maintain SHRM certifications. Debbie has held her SHRM – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification since its inception in 2014. In addition, she holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification through HRCI since 2011.
Debbie is currently an HR Consultant with a focus in healthcare industry where she provides HR guidance in areas including HR analytics, compliance, talent development, performance management and employee relations. She has more than 5 years experience in healthcare working as HR Director for an ophthalmology practice, and roles at Northern Westchester Hospital and Accession Health Care. Her expertise was developed during her IBM career. She was a Senior HR Business Partner where she served as a trusted advisor to over 100 executives and managers. She was responsible for implementation of innovative human resource solutions relating to employee relations, compensation, talent development, employee satisfaction and workforce management.
Debbie holds her Bachelor of Arts from University of Connecticut and a Master of Labor & Human Resources (MLHR) from The Ohio State University.
