SHRM and our Southern CT SHRM chapter are monitoring closely the current state of coronavirus (COVID-19) nationally and internationally.
Please know that National SHRM and the local chapters here in Connecticut are committed to ensuring the health and safety of their staff, volunteers, members, and partners. We have been monitoring and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely, and will follow guidance from the World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local government leaders with regard to our operations.
Below, you will find key SHRM member-exclusive resources that will help you, your workplace and your HR networks to handle this crisis:
Stay tuned for additional events and resources from SHRM over the coming weeks. For continued monitoring and questions about affected areas in the U.S., please visit the CDC for updates click here.
In response to current guidance and government actions, our April 21st program, “The Future of Work is Here – Use Technology to Drive Employee Engagement & Success” will now be a webinar. We hope you join us virtually to hear Mike Song, award winning author and speaker as he helps us with TQ (technical quotient) methods to assess technical skills gaps and show us how to increase technical proficiency and how it can increase employee engagement and customer experience levels. More important than ever in our new work at home arrangement we are currently facing. Please check in to our website in the next week for registration and other details.
Other SOCT SHRM events for this year are currently being reviewed and will either be changed from live to virtual event or will need to be postponed. We will update you as things progress. So please continue to check into our website, and social media pages for information and updates. Your health and safety are the utmost priority right now and SOCT SHRM is committed to continually providing professional development resources and opportunities for our members and HR community in Southern CT.
Please stay safe!
