Maggie's Management Group, LLC is the corporate office for Maggie McFly's restaurants: a prominent and growing restaurant based out of Connecticut. The corporate office is located in Southbury, CT with five restaurant locations in Connecticut, two in Virginia and one opening in Albany, NY.
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED HR Manager to maintain the processes and procedures that are currently in place, as well as update those processes and procedures as needed. The company has over 500 employees, including the corporate office.
Responsibilities & Duties
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the acquisition & termination/resignation of employees.
Maintain and manage confidential personnel files in accordance with company best practices.
Respond to all unemployment and workers’ comp claims in a timely manner.
Process payroll efficiently and accurately.
Act as an internal resource to employees and departmental managers regarding payroll matters and all other communications.
Respond to and address all staff complaints, concerns, and issues that escalate to human resources.
Research, analyze, and resolve complex or non-routine payroll issues.
Support, counsel, and coach managers on employee relation issues in regards to investigations, involuntary terminations, and performance improvement plans.
Liaise with the leadership team to update processes and procedures to comply with current laws and practices.
Rigorously monitor federal labor laws and various state labor laws to ensure compliance.
Perform formal performance reviews and yearly staff survey.
Manage all guest complaints that escalate to social media, company website, or direct contact with human resources ensuring all guests concerns are rectified.
Recruitment, including placing ads on internal/external job boards, arranging interviews, making job offers, and organizing start dates.
Liaise with all benefit vendors and staff.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified applicants will have at least 5 years of Human Resource Managerial experience.
Must have extensive knowledge of law pertaining to employees and labor.
Restaurant experience is preferred.
SHRM Certified Professional credential is preferred.
