We are pleased to inform our members about our recent White Paper: "The Erosion of the 'At-Will' Employment Doctrine" (i.e. the ever-growing number of ways Employees can sue Employers). For more than a century, the fundamental principle at the foundation of every employment relationship was the "Employment At-Will" doctrine. The "At-Will" doctrine provides that absent an employment contract, the employment relationship is consensual and may be terminated by either party, at any time, for any reason. Recent Connecticut court decisions have eroded this principle to the detriment of employers.
