Starwood Capital is currently seeking a HR Analyst to provide operational support to the Human Resources team in the Greenwich Office. The HR Analyst will be responsible for data reporting and analytics across the organization working closely with the accounting and the HR teams within Starwood’s portfolio companies. This position will support the overall HR initiatives while facilitating and supporting HR business processes.
Maintain HR analytical tools, which includes the core HRIS system and other HR systems and tools.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of key data sets, reports and metrics including management of the firm-wide PTO tracker, preparation of biweekly payroll files, management of org charts and companywide contacts.
Initiate and process transactions for efficient workforce administration. Receive, verify, and enter updates in the HR system and Financial Tracking system.
Complete monthly headcount reporting and other monthly reporting such as phone lists and administrative assignments.
Respond to HR data requests from other functions.
Audit HR data, validate calculations and troubleshoot irregularities ensuring overall data and system integrity.
Produce and deliver standard and customized reports, dashboards and ad-hoc requests based on business needs.
Assist with process efficiency by researching methods to automate and streamline workflows.
Update and maintain the HR section of the Intranet working in conjunction with IT.
Manage HR Compliance with I9 Forms, Labor Law Posters, and other Federal and State requirements.
Maintain electronic personnel files.
Answer questions related to policies and procedures within the scope of workforce administration.
Uses available tools and resource materials to provide information and resolve issues and requests.
Prepare employment verification letters
Provide back up to other team members and respond to ad hoc projects, as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with up to 2 years of HR experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Experience working with HRIS systems and reporting tools – Ultipro knowledge is a plus;
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel
Resourceful, approachable, well organized, highly dependable, and efficient
Excellent attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to build relationships and act as a resource for employees
Self-starter who takes initiative and introduces new ideas
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Sound judgment and understanding of when to escalate issues
Ability to be discrete and maintain confidentiality.
