This position is ideally suited for someone looking for a temporary role in the Human Resources field. You will be guiding the Human Resources team in a fast paced and growing franchise business with exposure to all facets of the Human Resources function.

The interim Human Resources Manager requires a broad range of high level skills and experiences to support the overall Human Resources goals and objectives. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the human resources function in both the US and Canada. This assignment will last for approximately 3 months.
The HR Manager will perform a wide range of Human Resource related duties including but not limited to:
Provide the executive team with support on topics such as policy, business planning, reporting, etc.
Ensure that company is working within all federal and state laws and guidelines with the overall goal of maintaining a low liability.
Assist the executive team and operational leaders with guidance on all employee relations issues ensuring matters are resolved quickly and correctly.
Provide ongoing and open feedback and updates to executive team on all projects and initiatives.
Provide guidance and direction to the rest of the Human Resources team.
Liaison between employees and benefits broker.
Handle and approve all FMLA and medical accommodation requests.
Approve or decline any background checks that require an additional level of review.
Hold bi-weekly calls with all divisional presidents across all regions ensuring all outstanding HR issues are up to date and being handled.
Hold weekly update meetings with HR team to discuss all ongoing and outstanding issues.
Ensures all HR policies and procedures are being followed and adhered to by the staff.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field
10 or more years of related experience in Human Resources with experience leading a HR department and/or managing direct reports
Experience in a multi-unit organization with large focus on customer service is required. Experience in Canadian human resources/employee relations preferred.
Solid experience in all aspects of human resources including employment law, employment regulations, employee benefits, compensation administration, reward systems, recruitment, training and development, employee relations and communications.
A proven track record of working as a business partner with department directors/managers in the design and implementation of value-added, customer-driven human resource programs and services.
Someone who is energetic, enjoys working with people at all levels of the organization, and can demonstrate their ability to "roll-up their sleeves" and work alongside the employees.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a professional demeanor are required
Must be self-motivated, proactive, intuitive, organized, deadline orientated and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Experience in ADP or another similar payroll platform
